Buche de Noel is a pastry I will admit I am obsessed with. I saw a thing on TV about the making of one and the folk lore behind this French pastry. You make them at Christmas time, and they are to look like a log, which is the yule. They are to be given as a gift, and they are said to bring, good luck, prosperity, and good will in the new year. I have a few friends who could really use this in new year, so i am making these as well as one for my family. This recipe I am posting is a good one because it gluten free, but made in the traditional french way as well, and very yummy.
